Online Media in S.A

News24.com
The online publication for me is the best that I have ever visited. It has that digital edge an looks like an gives one a feeling of being welcomed onto the site. The structure an layout is nicely done to an extended where all the information you will want is all divided in an easy access format. Picture gallery and the audio and video clips that they offer don’t take time to load so it says a lot about the effort they put into the online website.
Timeslive.co.za
Probably the most upsetting online especially when you’re trying to link or share an article with any social media network. Also the subscription option they offer for any consumer that logs in is simple but one will never get messages or newsletters that they promise to send. But structure of the website is also on point an eye catching
Sowetan live
The website looks similar to the hard copy newspaper. The colour an layout an structure is all the same and its boring because one would expect something different since it’s the world of technology and can be made to be seen as out of the ordinary but still maintain its status. The different publication links associated with sowetan got its separate page which is easy an interacting.
My conclusion would be they have all more to offer than what we see when we access their online publication. In due course all will be given run for their followers!

Lerato Mvelase, why didn’t you attend the premiere of Life Above All, a movie that you feature prominently in?
Or maybe you had other things to do – like attend the opening night of a play at the Market Theatre?

  • Duduzane Zuma, I don’t care how many assets you have to your name – won’t you have a baby with Shwashwi?

  • Iko Mash, what else do you do besides hanging out in Rosebank?

  • While we’re at it, Koyo Bala, what are you up to these days?

  • Clint Brink you hot thang, when can we do an interview that will never be published?

  • Remember Just-Ice? He now presents a breakfast show on Radio 2000.
I must say he does a better job than most breakfast jocks I know.
    I won’t mention names.

  • DJ Zinhle, why is your BBM pin always on your Twitter updates?
Is business not going well or are you trying to find a man?
Wait, don’t answer that – it won’t change the price of bread.

  • DJ Sbu, since you were brave enough to showcase your Vandal what- what at Joburg Fashion Week, will you also be brave enough to show your face at SA Fashion Week?
    Just a thought!

  • Where is Babalwa Mneno? Is she still a resident of this beautiful country of ours?

  • When is Katlego Danke leaving Generations?
I’m tired of seeing those terrible outfits on that hot body of yours.
Actually, when is the person who dresses you gonna go?

  • Chomee, are you taking singing lessons as Shwashwi begged you to?
Otherwise I will ban myself from your parties.

  • Now that Mshoza and Jacob Mnisi have decided to keep their private lives private, can somebody else entertain us?

  • Vanessa Marawa, you won the Big Brother prize a million years ago. Now what?

  • Dawn Matthews darling, when are you going to be a little bit louder?
You’re too much of a lady.

  • Pam Andrews, please can we see you out more? Don’t let a man take you away from your glamour.

  • Simphiwe Dana and lovely boyfriend, when are you guys getting married?
    Please don’t tell us.
Mfundi, are you trying to create another Karabo from actress Sindi Dlathu?

  • Kaizer Motaung Junior, why are you always moisturised on the pitch, even after 90 minutes?

  • For somebody who says they are always comfortable in anything they wear, we want to know if Miss SA Bokang Montjane was comfortable in those shoes she wore to wash people’s cars.

  • Denzel Washington, why are you hiding? We didn’t see you at the opening of parliament as we were
    promised.
We know you’re shooting a movie in the Cape, but come to Egoli as well man.

  • Tshedi Mholo, do you have a man yet?
We are wondering when we will have a chance to meet him and make him fabulous.

Gaddafi called to tell 'his side of story'

The presidency will not be drawn into "rumours and distortions" about President Jacob Zuma's conversation with Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Zuma's spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said on Wednesday.
"The Presidency will not be drawn into rumours and distortions of the conversation with the Leader of Libya, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, who had called to explain his side of the story," Kodwa said in a statement.
The Democratic Alliance had earlier called on Zuma to clarify BBC reports about a telephone conversation with the Libyan leader.
"The Democratic Alliance notes with concern reports in the international press of a telephone conversation between President [Jacob] Zuma and Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi," the DA's parliamentary leader Athol Trollip said in a statement.
He said BBC Monitoring was reporting that Libyan TV had quoted Zuma as "stressing the need not to depend on tendentious reports circulated by foreign media outlets" during the phone call.
Zuma reportedly also called on the African Union to "take decisive action and uncover the conspiracy that Libya is facing".
Kodwa said there was no "ambiguity" about South Africa's position on Libya.
"President Zuma has spoken out clearly on the Libyan question. South Africa has openly condemned the loss of life and attacks on civilians and reported violations of human rights in Libya.
"The country supports the positions taken by the African Union and the United Nations on Libya and there has never been any ambiguity about the position of either President Zuma or the country," said Kodwa.

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has taken the blame for his side's 3-1 defeat by Barcelona in the European Champions League on Tuesday night, describing the last 16 second leg defeat as one of the worst moments of his life.

The 23-year-old's misplaced backheel in stoppage time at the end of the first half led to Barcelona's opening goal, and Fabregas failed to lift his game in the second as the Spanish champions dominated to win 4-3 on aggregate.
"Great support from the Arsenal fans. I take full blame for the result tonight," Fabregas wrote on his Twitter page (twitter.com/cesc4official ).
"One of the worst moments of my life. I apologise."
Fabregas struggled on his return to the side following a hamstring injury as Barcelona's midfield trio of Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Javier Mascherano controlled the match with their intricate passing.
Arsenal equalised when Sergio Busquets deflected a corner into his own net in the 53rd minute but the dismissal of striker Robin van Persie three minutes later resulted in wave after wave of Barca attacks with Lionel Messi and Xavi making the game safe.

Arsenal now only have the league champion an english F.A Cup honours to fight for in an attempt to end their six year trophy drought.
